Well My Crazy Life Continues:

Ok so I went to court for the child custody and the judge dismissed it because we have a pending divorce action. So now I wait, I have let the girls go viist once since then and wound up having to pick them up early due to the pending hurricane. They had a fun time for the most part. But because of the hurricane they havent been back yet. Thier fathers area was hit hard so they are still rebuilding. Hoping to have them visit this weekend and next but will have to see.

My daughter Vicki called me the other day all upset my first thought was that her abusive boyfriend hit her again but its even worse thatn that, shes about 6 months pregnent and found out shes positive for Hep B, I dont even know what to do. Anyone who has had experience with this i would appriciate some feed back. I've done the research and such but its not the same as hearing from someone who has personally delt with this. My daughter keeps deluding herself saying she probably got it through school when they were working with blood or when she was giving tattoos. Somehow I dont think so, part of the reason I think her boyfriend was always accusing her of cheating was because he was.

On a more positive note I started dating a wonderful man, Hes a retired Marine and treats me like gold. I cant wait to see him all the time. Because of the gas stituation out here in Long Island I couldnt get gas Friday in my car so he drove 20 mins to pick me up and drive me 45 mins to work and then picked me after work drove me home then came back and picked me up to go out later.  Its so nice to be treated like that hes always opening doors for me and makes me feel very special. Is this the way its supposed to be? I really hope so.

Court, home life, dating

Ok so a little more info on what’s up in my life. Tomorrow I will be heading into to court yet again, this time its to get full custody of my girls, I have been trying to work things out with my ex as far a visitation since he moved to NJ. But as usual he had to mess that up, he threatened not to give the girls back just 1 too many times so I filed for custody and until this issue is settled he wont be seeing them. At this point its been since the 4th of July. I also need to have the transporting issue settled, he moved out of state and at minimum it’s a 3.5 hour drive, he wants me to transport 1 way, well I wouldn’t mind if he paid what he is supposed to in child support but the way things stand I cant afford the gas and tolls etc, so hopefully the judge see this and has him provide the transportation. For the past month I have been trying to have him served but the process server has been unable to do it as he’s been ducking them. When I go into to court tomorrow I hope the judge will agree to mail service because again due to money issues I can not afford to keep paying for professional service. Does anybody have any experience with this?


Now the reason I moved in with my sister is that she has MS and can’t work anymore, she’s getting a divorce and needed help paying the bills so she doesn’t lose her house. I am starting to think the good idea is now becoming a bad one. The main reason she needs help with the bills is she doesn’t know how not to spend money on frivolous things. We are behind on several bills yet her kids are still in tae kwan do yes I do understand that they love it but when your struggling to pay your bills something has to give. She has now also put her daughter and one of mine in gymnastics on sat open gym $20 each which isn’t much but every dollar counts right now. For instance we got into an argument last weekend about the bills, I agreed to pay the electric bill and she was going to cover other bills well I come home yesterday and she went out and bought her daughter several pairs of jeans grrrr. My girls have been doing without so we can pay bills but she just goes and spend money like its nothing. Sorry but I needed a vent.

One of the things I’ve been doing lately is writing to a prison inmate, it’s actually been a good thing I am lifting his spirits and making his days just a little bit brighter. I also feel good for doing this. If anyone is interested in having a pen pal let me know. I know you all probably think I am crazy but he’s a friend of a friend, who’s had a rough life and went down the wrong path, he’s paying his debt and looking forward to becoming a good citizen when he is released. We have become very good friends.

I have also been dating, shocking isn’t it? Lol I have met some good guys and some freaks. The good ones are still my friends and freaks well need I say more? One of my best friends is Rob I call him my boyfriend with out the strings. He does everything that a boyfriend should do except we aren’t physical. Even our kids are best friends. The guy I am currently seeing has many issues one of which is he’s still on the emotional divorce roller coaster, so some days he wants to be in a relationship with me and some days he doesn’t. Rebound rubber band, but all in all he’s a good guy and I am crazy about him. He’s had some rough times lately and wonders why I stick with him, sometimes I wonder too but I like him and care about him so I am willing to see where it leads as long as he continues to be honest with me. I know you are saying I am nuts but I am having fun and my eyes are wide open. I will not be hurt because I am not looking for life long love at this point.

Wow I have written a lot for today will try and update tomorrow after court.

My Apologies

I am soo sorry I have been neglecting this blog, Life have been getting in the way. But I am back and hope to write more. Just need to get a cordless keyboard and mouse as my laptop screen is shattered and i have it hooked up to my flat screen tv lol.

Well on to the update -

I am now living with my sister to help her out its going ok if you can immagine 2 adults, 4 kids ages 13, 12, 11, & 11, 3 dogs and 3 cats in a 3.5 bedroom house doing ok lol.

I am waiting to pick up my new truck : Honda Pilot EX-L  any opinions on this are welcome.(I have been in an kia optima for the past yr since i flipped my explorer and really miss having a truck)

Really havent been doing the girls hair too much as they are older now and don't need/want my help lol.

I now at present time have 2 grandsons and 1 grand baby on the way from my 21 yr old who is in an abusive relationship more on that later.

My blog started out as strictly hair, but it will be evolving to include: Divorce(child support rants, custody battles etc) sneak peaks into my home life, MS, Kidney donation, back issues etc

I am going to change the name of the blog I think not sure need opinions please lol.

the trials of child support

I know Ive promised some blogs about hair but honestly lately i haven't been much in the mood for hair. I have been having issues with getting child support from the soon to be ex (stbx). Well I will start from the beginning, back last year at this time i went to court to start the whole child support mess as stbx wasn't giving me any money for the girls voluntarily. so off to court i went. i will skip ahead a bit needless to say it took us going back and forth 5 times to get it settled i was to get 466 every 2 weeks to be garnished from his pay check. well soon after he got fired from his main job due to harassing me via text when he well knew he wasn't allowed on the phone during work not to mention my order of protection forbids it. well it then takes the nys child support collection unit 4 to 6 weeks to change his employer info and start collection from his second job. in the mean time his arrears is going up and up. brings us to December, the cs collection unit froze his bank account due to non payment for 3 months. I finally started receving money again in Feb. Then he lost his job in April. back to court another 2 times and they lowered the amount to 200 every two weeks based on his unemployment. its now been a month again since i have received any money. Good news is he got a job but it well now take another 4 to 6 weeks before i see a dime. I am so desperate for money I am thinking about selling my ring the only thing stopping me is i wont receive much for it, not enough to help.

If anyone out there knows of a real job i can do from home on my computer or something I welcome any suggestions. I have just enough money to pay bill and nothing more. not food nor clothes, or any of the extras that make life nicer for my kids. both of my girls will be moving up in school this year and need things like year books and such. My 20 yr old is also having her second baby next month and needs things and it breaks my heart to not be able to even buy yarn to make a blanket.

I start to wonder if things could have been different if I stayed with the stbx. but then think of the peace and joy me and the little girls have had this past year and know i made the right decision. its been a long hard road but hopefully things will turn around soon.

I just wanted to say thanks to all my followers I will be posting again shortly, my toppics might not be as much about hair styles as they were due to my stituation but will try to post a few. My soon to be ex took the camera so soon as I have the money I will purchase a new one. The only hair Ive been doing lately is my own my girls have rebelled. lol. They only let me do thiers when its a special ocasion. Most recently I did my cousins little girls hair for her communion. Plus Mushie cut her hair off lol so its kinda short for elaborate styles. We are trying something new with Katybug, we arent using shampoo to wash her hair anymore only conditioning it. Its starting to not be so frizzy and unmanagable. I will keep you posted on that.

Babysitter Hairstyles

My babysitter was bored yesturday and came up with these styles.

There was so much gel in Mushies hair she had to wash it 3 times to get it all out. I took out all the bobby pins and clips and it didn't even move. lol

Lots of things going on!

We had our twirler rating day this past weekend, I did all the girls hair but dopey me forgot to get pics of their styles. lol but it came out great the song they used was Poker Face by lady Gaga. So Katybug was a heart, Mushie was clubs, D was spades and S was diamond. All the girls did very well. They received a GOOD rating(grade) in Intermediate. Now we are working on their recital for June. Katybug can you tell still loves to have her picture taken (not) She calls this a smile. lol

Why are Girls So Mean??

I really want to know, Mushie came home from her dance crying because some girl told her she was fat. Now Mushie is far from fat, yes she has been getting a little chubby but is no where near fat, she also does this just before a growth spurt. I wanted to go back into that school and knock this kid out. What ever happed to if you don't have something nice to say not to say anything??? Now poor Mushie don't want to go to anymore dances.

Chinese Piggy Buns, headband and more

My Mushie came to me last week to tell me she was having her FIRST School Dance and wanted me to do Chinese Piggy Buns in her Hair. I had no clue how to do what she was asking for and after much reasearch I still had no clue. LOL Well when she was asleep I attacked! Her American Girl Doll Julie that is, She has long Hair like Mushie so I figured it would work best, so I practiced a few times.


Well Friday night rolled around and this is what I did.

First I parted out a face fringe and also did a zig zag part.



Then I made High Pigtails and tied them into knots with the tail sticking out from above.

Then I tied a ribbon around not making a bow to make it more edgie for my rocker chick! After that I teased the tails to make them stick out all over added a ton of spray so they wouldn't flop while dancing. And also curled the fron fringe per mushies request I was going to leave them straight.

I think she was very statisfied with the results don't ya think?

This is katybug, She hates her picture taken, can you tell? I wanted to do a headband but wanted something better than plain. I found this on one of the blogs and would love to give credit but can't remember whose it was. I think it was princess but not sure.

Well She was so pleased with it and told me I should put out adds to do girls hairdo's for partys and such. What do you think you have seen my pictures do I have what it takes to do girls make over party's?
